Our Facility

Our facility at Summerhill situated 6km from Cust and approximately 15km outside of Rangiora.

I am fortunate to be able to have the use of a fantastic facility, owned by Grant and Anna Shaw, which lends itself to the training of young horses and is surrounded by fantastic country side which provides for excellent riding opportunities.

All  horses started under saddle here are trained and ridden at the facility and graduate to being ridden in the surrounding countryside where they experience being ridden past farms stocked with sheep, cattle, deer, irrigators, farm machinery, passing vehicles and other obstacles including river crossings in the nearby Ashley river. This exposes the young horses to a lot of different potentially stressful situations which benefits their mental and emotional development.
